Nice Pics Ross and Video Ratty. Good to see a great turnout, looks like the weather was kind to you for the ride although you must have just missed the rain.

My local egg run was on Saturday and it couldn’t have been more unlike yours. It had been raining most of the night and only stopped 15 minutes before the meeting time, got down to the start at the fire station early and saw that 4 people were already there. Only thing was, I was the last to arrive and we were all marshals. An unusual group ride to say the least; we were barely out of Croydon and it started to rain again for virtually the whole way to The Children's Trust in Tadworth .

It was quite embarrassing arriving, they were expecting about 20 bikes and the motley 5 turn up. We park the bikes allowing enough room for a wheelchair to be pushed between them – then the door opens and the children are pushed out to look at the bikes. This is probably more for the carers than the children who are too small or sick to appreciate the machinery.

The two Pan’s haven’t been modified much by their current owners, having once been employed by the Police, their lights were flashing which caused a reaction from some. There were some, who liked the shiny silver FJR, but one lad gestured to the blue bike and tried calling out the colour, he’d spotted a R1.
The ‘Cat up to now had been pretty much ignored, the R1 admirer had been pushed to mine and the carer (who I think was his brother) said ‘aahh a [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I love that cartoon’ and proceeded to sing a song (probably a theme tune). Next thing I knew people are wanting to climb aboard, the bike became even more desirable after I was asked to tonk the horn. The other bikes were not so popular for being sat upon!

Well there weren’t many of us, but we did make a few peoples’ day, even though our modest pile of Easter Eggs wouldn't have been enough for all 70 children. We were invited in to have tea and doughnuts, but were obliged to try and help eat for the twenty odd they had catered for.

I didn't take any pics, and the video isn't that brilliant - two bikes in front and water on the lens
