North Yorkshire BBQ - 10th August

10th August

Me and the family will be visiting North Yorkshire again this year to see the in-laws and we thought it would be nice to organise a little BBQ for any Thundercat-Site members who'd like to join us.

The in-laws have kindly agreed that we can use their garden for this which also has a pool so feel free to bring your trunks/bikinis/mankinis since the weather will surely be lovely

Also feel free to bring wife/husband/kids since our 3 kids will be there too.

We'll provide the BBQ (mostly sausages and kebabs probably) and drinks but we'd need to know the rough number of people coming so we can get enough supplies in. Also contributions will be kindly accepted

We will start at lunch time but if anyone wants to join us later on that's fine too. Just give us a rough time when you sign up

The place is called Brompton-by-Sawdon and it's on the A170 between Pickering and Scarborough. Here's the map link:

Unfortunately I can't make it  We'll be 2 days into our US road trip  otherwise we would have loved to join you.

Same here Chris, sorry Thomas we shall be 2 days into our sizzling Egypt holiday so not able to make it too. Having to miss Big Mac as well because of a pre-booked family camping trip.

Should be a good time for folks to enjoy themselves but hopefully your in laws have a big garden, also a big car park.

Zed, after last years soaked visit I would have love to have come and meet you. unfortunately I'll be with my family in the USA on holiday. Have a good time and hopefully it won't be pi55ing down!

Hi Thomas, Is there a backup plan in case of inclement weather?

Currently we don't have an actual back up plan but we'll look into it nearer the time. I seem to remember the in laws having a marquee, but need to confirm that again. Worst case we'll move it to a pub nearby but I'm sure the weather will be fine

Right... it's nearer the time now so I thought I'd bring this back to the top

We've arrived here yesterday and only a few more days until the BBQ. Weather seems to be ok-ish for Saturday.

Could everyone who's planning to come please let me know when and how many people you bring along by Thursday mid day so we can make sure theres enough food and drink.
