Sort of. It drives but makes a huge clanking banging noise. Was having fun too sad luckily i had recovery plan. Was 20 miles from home and getting dark. No phone, no proper hi vis and no fags left. I could have died lol

hmm doesnt sound good, had you done anything to it that might have caused this?

taken it to a mechanic to see if they can tell you what might be wrong?

No proper mechanic yet but my local isnt free until 8th sept. Bigwan600 called up tonight an he reckons it the bottom end. He may add his thoughts later as to what it could be

Cheers anyway Dave. I suppose the more problems I get, the more experieced I'll be in diagnosing stuff. It's just a shame I learn the hard way

Its going to the garage tomorrow to see what can be done and at what price. I know it's going to be hefty but gotta keep my options open.
The only engines I can find are 40k+ miles on the clock but need something with at least half of that.(as close to my mileage as possible) I'm hoping ttboy want to sell his engine as I know that's been rebuilt from bottom up

I think an engine rebuild will cost more than a decent used engine.

I know a chap in York who builds thundercat engines. He's raced them in sidecars for years so knows his way round them better than anyone I know. msg me if you want his details.

cheers
