engine casing

I do apologise in advance if this has been covered before but I'm trying to find some relatively inexpensive engine casing.
My stator side is rashed and the clutch side has had some damage at one point then had a very unprofessional re spray so it's now starting to bubble and peel away.
I'm not after anything particularly flash, I'd even go from some originals that were in better nick.
Anyhow I've been scouring the internet but can only seem to find some extra strong race type ones at about 150 per cover!!
So I'm wondering if anyone knows of anywhere I can find some?

Why dont you just sand down and respray yourself? Would be a lot cheaper that way.

Well I'm just learning to do stuff myself (currently attempting a swing arm refurb) but never really been any good at spraying etc and the rash is pretty deep so is well beyond my capabilities at the minute lol

This may be a silly question but I don't suppose I could get my existing ones powder coated could I?
I wasn't sure with them being engine parts that get warm and covered in oil etc

Powder coated... yes! Just degrease them thoroughly first. I think part of the stator is bolted to the cover and might be a pig to remove.
