Travelling down south yesterday on the A1 Grantham area saw ahead of me in the outside lane a bike about 300yds ahead of me with what appeared to be six, yes six silencers sticking out the back. I am absolutely intrigued. Anyone got any idea's yet? I know I had. And the guy on it was going pretty well on it as well, doing a steady 75mph. managed to get level with him and have a good look, yep. anyone guessed it yet, ah come on you lot.....................................................................................................YES a Bennelli Sei. It looked in pretty good nick as well. For the uninitiated it was a 6 cylinder across the frame single cam motor of either 750 or 900cc capacity. The weather was cold ,damp and there was salt on the road, I know that had it been mine I wouldn't have been out on it, nor been on the A1. Who knows he might have just bought it! Interesting don't you think.

Well done Tes for confirming your correct suspicions. I'd never have got it.

Not to be nasty to the marque, I'd probably also be reticent to be out in those conditions on one. Probably why I stick with 'boring ole' Japanese with ACF50 treatment for the winter months.

Don't know about anyone else, but this season of bad weather has really got me down. Maybe it's just me and can't be bov-vered to go out, still have racked up 36 going on 37k miles in as many months.

Always loved the Benelli Sei, available until well into the 1980's, predated both the CBX and Z1300. I believe the Brazilian Police used them for a while

Pails in comparison to your mileage Tes, but thank you very much.
The dealers' workshop manager joked with me last week, see you soon (after the last service) - my retort was I hope not - well if you rack up the miles, then the weather must be good!
